Feeding instructions:
Feed amount is based on 250mL cup (containing approximately 110g PRO PLAN cat food for kittens)
Kittens start eating solid food at 3 to 4 weeks of age. Keep the PRO PLAN Kitten moist at all times and allow your kitten to eat as he pleases until complete weaning at 6 to 8 weeks. PRO PLAN kittens can be fed wet or dry after weaning. Determine the number of feedings per day based on the age of the kitten. For kittens under 3 months: 3-4 meals (moist), 3-6 months: 3 meals, 6-12 months: 2 meals. Use the feeding chart to choose your daily feeding amount, and if you find your kitten is losing weight or becoming overweight after feeding this amount, adjust accordingly. To help your kitten maintain ideal body condition, monitor your kitten's weight regularly and make sure their ribs are easily felt and their waist is visible when viewed from above. Maintaining ideal body condition affects your kitten's lifelong health. The amount of feeding required for ideal body condition will vary based on activity, environment and neutered status.
Breeding Feeding: PRO PLAN Kitten provides the additional nutrients females need to reproduce during pregnancy and lactation. Food consumption during pregnancy may vary, so feed the amount needed to maintain the ideal physical condition of the pregnant woman. Food intake may double or even quadruple during breastfeeding.
Be sure to provide your kitten with fresh water in a clean container every day. Proper diet, exercise, and veterinary care are the best ways to keep your kitten healthy. If your kitten has not had a checkup in the past year, make an appointment immediately.
